A friend of mine asked if I could help him write a poem for his girlfriend this Valentine's day. So I wrote this one in exchange for half of the chocolates his girlfriend was going to give him:
I dream of you under the sunlit skies,
I dream of you lying beside me,
and kissing my eyes.
I dream of your sweet scent lingering in the air,
I dream of the summer wind,
caressing your hair.
I dream of you walking in the flowers,
I dream of you waiting for me,
long into the midnight hours.
I dream of you looking for me,
I dream of your crystal eyes,
searching longingly.
I dream of you calling out my name,
I dream of myself finding you,
still the same.
