BOYCOTTING AMERICA

I condemn The United State of America's decision in supporting Israel's terrorism against the innocent civilians in Gaza City. The country's economic crisis cannot be used as an excuse to sell weapons to murderers.

America has to accept the reality that she is now receiving her deserved "karma" from her past acts of killing Japanese civilians in the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings during World War II, of invading Vietnam in the 1970s, of invading Iraq in 2003, of sacrificing Iraqi children and treating it as "mere casualties", of causing American parents grief from losing their children to the unnecessary war, and of jeopardising the American youths' future by wasting the country's treasury on sponsoring war when they could have allocated funds for education.

Enough is enough. The world wants the Israel-Palestine war to end now, not prolonged further. Since a large powerful nation like America refuses to help end the war, then it might just as well stay poor and do nothing at all.

My friends, some of you will say "Why are you poking your nose in this issue? The Palestinians aren't of our race, they are not even our countrymen. Who cares if they die, it is not our concern."

It's not because of the similarity in race or religion or ideology that this boycott is held; it is because we are all humans, and humanity is our nature. When a fellow human being is unjustly oppressed by another, do we just look away and do nothing? We are not satellites, we are humans. As humans we have the duty to look out after one another and we are fated to depend on each other like brothers and sisters, for were we not born of the same Man and Woman?

This boycott is to show America how it feels to be left alone facing the enemy unaided like how the civilians in the Gaza Strip feel. America is now in deep financial depression, and would be more so if she fails to increase the US dollar value. Even though no other nation is currently as powerful as America in terms of military and networking logistics, every nation has purchasing power due to globalisation and such power can be used to achieve peace.

Fellow Malaysians, let us boycott everything American in protest of the country's blood-thirsty decision. Reject the US dollar, do not buy into war. Let us protest against violence, let us say no to this kind of human rights violation.

ELYANA'S "BUKANNYA SATELIT" is playing in my mind today.
