This pic above is my successful digital edit of the old Kuala Lumpur High Court clock tower.
A lawyer from the legal firm where I was attached to was handling a case here, so I went along with him as part of my programme. The case was boring because I could earlier tell the prosecution's winning from the evidence submitted, so I left the courtroom during recess and took pictures around the courthouse.
This court is now unused due to the existence of the new court in Jalan Duta. They're going to turn the old court into a museum. I miss the atmosphere in the old court - there was some sort of a noble and lonely spirit beckoning to me when I walked along the silent hallways. They do say that a building has a character of its own.
Today when I look at the workmen tearing off some parts of the old court building, I feel like I'm watching an old friend being dismantled into pieces right in front of me. I couldn't pass that place anymore - the old court's hollow screams made me feel both guilty and unhappy.

GIGI'S "11 JANUARI" is playing in my mind today.
